Cunca Sega

Cunca Sega is a hidden waterfall in the plantations around Suka Village, West Manggarai Regency, East Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia.

Lesser known by many, this waterfall became the destination of my adventure with two friends, Roy and Filan, on October 20 three years ago. Without a map and clear directions, we were only armed with enthusiasm and curiosity.

When we asked the locals, they emphatically told us that "there was no way to get there." However, we persisted, deciding to follow the river that we believed originated from the waterfall. On the way, we were confronted with two branches of the river that made us almost give up. After a short break and discussion, we decided to follow the branch on the right.

Step by step, the sound of swishing water began to be heard, accompanied by fine dew that soaked our bodies. At that moment, we knew that our long journey would not be in vain. Cunca Sega finally revealed its stunning beauty.

The waterfall that spoiled our eyes, with clear water flowing fast, made us speechless in awe. The beauty of God's creation is truly extraordinary. I hope that after this adventure, more people will be inspired to explore and enjoy this hidden beauty.
